EK Power Steering Question
Okay i know it says to use a Civic SI power steering pump when swapping in a b series in to an EK but..
I have a pr3 power steering pump... and it has the smaller opening on the pump.. my high pressure line has the larger hole...
can i find a line from a eg civic, del sol and swap them? will it be long enough? too long? im sure itll thread into the rack...
anyone done this before? ... my final step to driving my car... with p/s..

How did you manage that? What B brackets line up to mount the D pump?

i really dont remember what bracket i used. i will take a picture of it tonight when i get home from work. i want to say it came with my jdm motor
did your pr3 pump come from an a3 del sol?
eg/dc lines do NOT fit the ek chassis...totally different angle from the rack and will not clear

EK lines are short... The hard line has 1 bend in it, from the rack's opening, in the right/rear.
EG/DC lines are significantly longer... The hard line has several bends in it, routing from the left/rear of the rack and zig-zagging a bit around the chassis.
You MAY be able to rebend a EG/DC hard line....but probably not. I have rebent quite a few lines, all without kinking them...but failed miserably with rebending an 01 ITR line... Besides, even if you are able to rebend it (180* in the opposite direction AT the flare fitting) you end up with a hose that's really too long (whether you care about that or not...is up to you)</TD></TR></TABLE>

Holy christ thank you for that info. You have no idea what a bitch its been with "custom" bracket work. You just saved me money. I was about to buy a 99-00 SI pressure line and pump.
