on my d16y8 the rpms were reving up and down and the re was a check light for the iac so i removed the valve and the sreen was black so i cleaned the screen and its like new i put it back on and it seemed fine the motor went throught 2 cycles or more and the lite didnt come back on it was fine the whole day and on the way hme from work the light came back on for the same thing so u think its the valve or clean it more.....just opinions ill prob by a new valve.

its just going bad goto a junk yard and pay 5 bucks for one instead of 180 from honda
