Default Question for PRO's *ONLY*, sorry newbs! Fixing blemish on BC/CC before last stage!

To anyone who does paint/body for a living:

I did a BC/CC job on my Civic. It came out great. I am now in the wetsanding/buffing stage. Before I finish wetsanding, I have a couple SMALL imperfections where I either sanded through to primer, or scratched the paint in transit home.

CAN I take a very very small paintbrush, and dab a speckle of BC to fill in the void, let it dry, then do the same with CC, then wetsand, and buff... in order to fix the imperfection before final 2500 wetsand and buff? Am I making sense? Any professional opinion is appreciated.

Yeah, thats an option, depends on where it is and how good you want it to look. If its a DD ***** bound to happen. You could also do a partial panel spot repair if you have clear blending solvent, or just redo the part to completely fix it. If its a solid color or really dark color in an inconspicuous area, touching it up might hide it really well. Try buffing and wet sanding the skratches first, hopefully you have a lot of clear to work with.

you can mix up a small amount of clearcoat and add your BC to it, or you can add some hardener to your BC.

^ ^ I've done both and it turns out pretty good. Wet sand the repair area after it's hardened with 1200, then finish wet sanding the entire panel with a finer grit.

I like the idea of mixing some BC into the CC to touch up. I'm going to try that and then finish wetsanding.

Any brush suggestions? I thought of maybe trying those small watercolor brushes for the job.

there's these yellow ones we use, i can't remember the name, but they have this little fuzzy ball on the end and they are awesome for touch up.

It's not that important what brush you use, because your going to sand it down flush anyway.
