Default Rallying Spring Rates

I have a 95 Prelude SE that I am rally-xing in the New England Region SCCA. The car is gutted. The only modification I've made other than tires is Bilstein HD's all around. I find it beneficial to get the car a little side ways in some corners and with the stock springs it is a bit difficult to accomplish, even with left foot braking. Unless I'm running bald tires in the rear, understeer is a problem. It was suggested to me that I double my stock spring rates. Should I go a little stiffer in the rear? I was just wondering if anyone has rally-xed a prelude or could make a suggestion for spring rates based on auto-x experience that would allow me to achieve more neutral to oversteer type handling?

I am already classed in 2 wheel drive modified due to the stripped interior so springs and other suspension components are unrestricted.

I think a thicker rear sway should help you bring the rear around.

To test it you could just unhook the front sway and see if you get less understeer/more over steer.

I will be testing the front sway bar disconnect for a couple runs at the next race. Thanks for the input!

Without doing and toe, caster, and camber, I would get stiffer rear springs and put in a rear sway bar. It should help you swing the back end a little bit easier.

Also, I don't know if this will work for you but maybe try using lift-throttle oversteer to help you rotate the car.

*note: I've never done rallyX so I don't know what it's like and how to drive it. I'm just giving you my general understanding of how this works

HA! yes it does! 2nd place at the last event on stock all seasons. A veteran rally driver hooked me up with a set of modified yokohama gravels recently. We will see how they work out. I'll do my best to get a camera set up for you guys.
