Default Burned 3/4 quart from LA to San Fran and back?

I wasn't driving extremely hard at all, just going about 85 - 90 there and back.

Is it normal to burn this much oil?

I have about 115,000 miles and haven't burned oil before.

I know the original owner personally, and he said he did...

never put above 4,000 or 5,000 rpm till i think 10,000 miles.

that's all he could tell me about the beginning.

no, thats not normal. most likely your rings and or cylinder walls are worn/scored. i would throw in a can of RESTORE every oil change and see if it helps.

Is it really anything to worry about at this point?

I'm assuming not to worry about it unless it gets significantly worse.

LA to San Fran and back is about 1000 miles. I would say its sort of bad not much really. Try the Engine Restore as stated earlier.

No oil drive way that I can see.

I just got back Sunday from the trip, so I'm not sure quite yet.

I will check on everyday commute burning.

I was not previously burning oil since the beginning of July.

This is the first time I've experienced any oil burn was on this long trip.

hmm??
