2.5" exhaust ?
im looking for a 2.5" for an SH. Is the skunk2 mega power a 2.5" exhaust ? idc what it sounds like bcause im going to change the muffler im just looking for any exhaust system that comes 2.5" and is pretty cheap
Just get it done at a local exhaust shop and buy a universal muffler thats what i did only cost me $200 for the work and the piping then i got a resonator and got it put on for an extra $100 including the resonator so all together didnt even spend $300 for a 2.5 in cat-back
It's the process through which the Tubing, or Exhaust Piping, is bent.
It bends the Piping/Tubing so that it stays, say 2.5", through the bend, where Crush bent makes it smaller in the bend where it would be restrictive.

Good luck. Haven't been able to find any after market exhaust system that comes as a kit, that is 2 1/2 piping. Thermal and greddy make some the at are 3 in but they are only for specific cars and ours isn't one of them
3'' is gonna enable you to get the most gains.....go to a muff shop have em throw 3'' on a magnaflow muff and fire you cat and youll be fine...oh remember to get a resonator to keep the rasp tolerable

go to kteller.com and get the 2.5" piping kit (stainless or mild - mandrel bent), pick a muffler and a resonator and you're golden. then get a local shop to install that (unless you can weld)
it's what's on my 4th'y - but they got kits for the 5th gen too.

i had crush bent 2.5" exhaust to a n1 muffler but it made great power (no back pressure w/ lots of velocity)...Very loud though!!!
this was on a 94 prelude h22...and for some reason h22's with open exhaust (no resonator) sound Very raspy and pop alot.

nope. sorry.
these companies that advertise their exhaust sizes are advertising the OD (outside diamter) of the piping, which we should all know isnt what matter. The ID is what matters.
thus, 60mm exhausts are really 2.25".
http://www.kteller.com sells piping kits.

so i see that kteller doesnt make a full exhaust for an prelude SH, so if you tell them will they send you the pipes you need to weld up or do you have to measure eveything yourself

NO I made 201 whp and 165 tq with 3'' exhaust a modified DC sports header and a ebay intake and 45 mins of dyno tuning on a chipped p28 running crome.......there is a common misconception that the 3'' is too big for a NA motor but it's false in regards to H22s......all the 2.0 GSR doods and CRVtecs run 3'' it allows you to make the most power.......but what do i know???

I think that the best bet would be just to order a few mandrel bends and a large section of staright pipe from kteller.com and go to a local muffler shop with them. Even if the muffler shop doesn't have a mandrel-bender, they can just use the mandrel bends that you bring them and you're set.
alright so for all you people wondering about the prelude exhaust how the type sh is different than the base if you want a cat back for an SH and they only make them for the base you can buy a BASE cat back the "B pipe" will be a little bit longer than the one on an SH all you would have to do is make the cut to length and weld it back together to make it suitable for the SH.
If im not mistaken... which i looked at my manual of the two and compared

As 98vtec stated inside diameter is what matters. What is best all depends on your goals. If you are gonna do just bolt ons and a tune 2.5 ID piping is perfect. If you are going for maximum power in an NA build 3" would be optimum.
Plus 1. Thats what Im doing. I bought a nice muffler and Im gonna get someone to install it amd supply all the piping for around 150 bucks.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by si_speed »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Custom piping is cheaper.
