I had a JDM h22a in my ride which has the internal coil. I have a msd SCI ignition with an external coil I want to put on. What distributor cap should I use to allow me to install an external coil? Will the standard USDM distributor cap work?
Also, are the MSD plug wires worth it, or are there better ones? (boost in the near future)

I hear that I can't just change the cap... its this true, and why?
If this is the case, can I modify the cap I have for the external coil instead of getting a whole new distributor simplfy for an ignition system?
