STOLEN: Almost Boosted 99 Coupe
I never thought I would be posting up a thread like this but my car was stolen Sunday morning between the hours of 12AM and 10AM in Redondo Beach, CA. Never thought it could happen in this area, and unfortuntality they caught me with my pants down, as I usually dont park the car on the street. I'm guessing they probably had a tow truck

Damn bro, that Dx was perfectly ready for boost... Wish we had that thing in my garage already to put the snail on. Hope insurance comes through
You should just install a suicide alarm on the next car... Let those ******* blow up.

Hey, do you have the serial number off the motor calalogued? If you do, then just turn the # into the CHP, if anyone gets pulled over and checked (which they write everything down now, even take pics) then you have a good chance of getting it back.
if they see a car with a ground off serial number, it is against the law and they get it worse!

Def. Sux, I had a mint 99 GSR with 50K on it stolen from school. I'll tell you from experience..your car is in pieces already. There is no way sombody would drive that around. Most likely it is somone who knows that car/has seen it before. Think back to your daily routene and where you drove it a lot. Drive through those neighborhoods and look for suspicious ****. It's a long shot but you never know - My car was found 4 months later 2 blocks from my school. Then I down the street where the car was found and saw a different car with all my parts on it. I actually found the chop shop who did it, but I was already paid by insurance, etc. Moral of the story, it could be closer to you then you think. PS, my car was only a chassis when they found it

Interesting opportunity to right a few wrongs..how could it be wrong to teach someone a lesson when if you don't, they will only continue to get worse, hurt more people, and acrue more bad karma? In a way, you'd actually be doing them a favor, nippin their bad karma in the bud..before the next person they jack pulls some american history x **** on them..

If you found the chop shop that did it, i'd firebomb that **** in a heartbeat! I've since found out who stole my first boosted car, ended up being someone close to me and a person i used to hang out with, lets just say their car is extra crispy now!
Yeah I have no idea who did it. I don't really talk to people about my car except for like 1 person whos into it. Most of my friends arent into fixing up cars, well at least Hondas. Maybe someone at my school took down my plates, and found out where I live, who knows.
Post around craigslist, ask at local swap meets, and bother others asking for specific parts you had in your build; who knows, you might get lucky and trace this ****.
I live south of Chicago, and refuse to park my Hondas in the city. We have it BAD. Local Honda Tech members should get together and setup a sting; leave a clean Honda unlocked and monitored with gps tracking in the hot areas. Heck I volunteer my hatchback if anyone's around Chi-town hit me up.
Bummer man, I hope you have full coverage so your loss is minimized.

Reminds me of the time I went to sleep after working a 24 hr shift, only to wake 45 min later to cops beating on the door adking if I owned a Honda...
I lost $3,500 that insurance didn't cover, and $1,800 in damages.
