I got to go to qualifying on at Silverstone here in the UK on Saturday and it was awesome. Dare I say I enjoyed it more than F1? The variety of the cars competing is so much better to watch. The Peugot's were the cars of the day (#'s 7 and 8), they sounded good and drove well. There was also some endurance racing too. Here's some pics with some annecdotes occaisionally, make sure you let them all load and check out the pit lane ones at the bottom!








I was stoked to see the Corvettes there, nice to hear some American motors!








Shitload of race fuel, anyone?



How good are these jobs... Travel the world with high end race teams and all you gotta do is take care of the tires... wash 'em, shave off excess rubber, etc. I'm down!

So then I got a wild hair up my *** and snuck into the pit lanes lol. This first pic is of the car the mechanics were working on as I casually strolled through their bay to the pit lanes haha



Ta-dahhh!! Somebody's not supposed to be in here haha. I walked down the lane snapping as many pics as I could before I got busted and booted out the pits, it was so worth it.

Probably about 3-4 minutes, at first I was looking around like "who's going to stop me?" but then I said expletive it and non-chalantly started taking pics walking down the line. Then a security guy stopped me, checked my pass, and told me I had to get out. But instead of cutting through a garage I kept walking down the line taking pics as I walked out haha
