i have new lsvtec turbo. wired the vtec a4 and oil pressure switch d6. and made my own vtec light. and the vtec set to 5,000 rpm. i have no engine light error. so that means im not on limp mode. now i drive around and try to hittin vtec and i see vtec light goes . but i cannot tell if im hitting vtec LOL i know its sound funny but i think it does but it doesnt sound loud. we stopped tuning @ high cams bcoz we thought we dont have vtec. but i notice if i listen carefully i hear a crossover sound. one thing im running straight pipe so its kinda hard to tell. im wondering if we raise the vtec point to 5800-6000 does it make a difference just to see if its working?

its very hard to hear vtec on turbo motors. if you have oil pressure and voltage is getting to the solenoid, vtec is probably working

 

Its fairly easy to hear like Ham said....the main difference is that when you dont get into VTEC, the top end feels completely gutless. I guess if you haven't gotten it tuned or driven it much since the LS/VTEC, you may not know what i'm talking about just yet.
