Some pics of my friends R
So I got rid of my Advans to one of my friends, and I got to take a few shots of his car.

The license plate!!! I can see them
At least blur your friends plates for your friends protection. I don't want hear his car got stolen later on.
Nice looking R

I saw this thread, and your comment, and hopped in the shower. While in the shower I thought about how in general, the people that make up this forum more times than not, tend to keep an eye out for another member and his/her car.
With that being said why don't we vote in something along the lines of having the pictures disabled by the mods if the plates are not blurred, along with a message sent to the person who posted the pictures?
An example would be that a person posts pictures and the plates are visible. Someone notices this, reports it to a moderator, the moderator views the thread and disables the particular picture(s) and sends an IM to the picture poster asking him/her to blur the plates.
Am I taking this too far? I feel it's such a simple thing that can be done.
:Ninja Edit:
Nice R BTW. Looking pretty damn good.

Great idea. It is possible that someone in another forum of HT would/did take pics of someones R, be it someone they know or even someone they dont, and do not realize the security concerns. Unknowingly putting someones car in jeopardy can be controlled.

I guess that would be a good idea, but take me for example, I wouldn't bother blurring out my plates or VINs as my car is registered in the next county, with the address being a barn. I encourage people to pull the address connected to my plate/registration as they'd probably get their face caved in by getting kicked in the face by a horse or something... I'm sure others have their cars registered far away from where the car is actually at. Guess it's just an individual basis, and if pictures are posted with plates, the OP should mention that it doesn't matter that his plates are visable and can be seen... if not then I agree with what you came up with in the shower.

This thread reminded me why I own a black jdm front integra
I see Cory's point (as I am in a similar boat), but I also agree with Brando's thinking. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

. reminds of why i love those wheels. i would vote for reminding/notifying OPs for blurring plates... what ^ said... better safe than sorry

That looks sooooo hawt. (I have a black EM1, and those are the wheels I'm looking to put on there. You just made up my mind for me. Thank you!)
and Jjunn R, I hear what you're saying about the registration. I got you one further. Due to being in the military, I have my R registered and plated for Oregon, but you NEVER know where the car is exactly. Just to throw it out, the car is 2900 miles from the address you'd get from my registration. Stealth FTW!

Thank you everyone, I do also agree about the plate thing. I fixed mine out of respect for my freind and the safety of his R. I don't block mine out so I wasn't thinking when I posted pictures of his car
