s2k CR msrp ?
i was at penske honda today looking around and the sales guy told me about the s2000 cr coming out soon. but i didnt get a chance to ask him what the msrp will be for one. i did a little search but didnt find any thing. any one know?
i did a lot of research and to my understanding itll be over 40k. which doesn't seem too far off since MSRP is 34,250 for a new s2k right now. add on the hardtop + new wheels strutbars and suspension along with the fact that its the only year for the CR/last year for S2k, you have a marketing angle for 40-45k.
thats USD by the way, just noticed your location

Penske Honda is in Ontario Cali. rofl his profile says it, just spelled wrong.
No official word yet. I wouldn't speculate any $ cause people who are just throwing out a number are guessing with nothing really behind it.

oh, im geography challenged
my 1st grade teacher told me there were 52 states.
i based it on the fact that hardtops are about 3k, and since its the new CR hardtop i assumed more. Along with the new "club race" exclusive mods, I figured it would drive the price up. Thats also why I put the broad figure.. im willing to bet a washington that the CR will be over 40k
i think over 45k would be overpriced since its the same motor as all the other AP2's. 10k for suspension upgrades/wheels/hardtop is pushing it.
None of the above is set in stone, they are just my guesstimations and opinions and since I don't own an s2k I apologize for wasting this space. *jumps into flame suit*

You're way off - 2000 was the last year, ask any dealership salesman.

same wheels for both 08 models, but the CR gets the gunmetal color.

From Hondas website:
"The CR takes “track-inspired” to an entirely new level. With racecar-like suspension and lower weight, its cornering, braking and acceleration make it one of the best rides around. To accomplish this, the audio system and air conditioning are now offered as options and the spare tire has been replaced with a tire repair kit. This, along with other modifications, lightens the racy roadster by nearly 100 pounds from the original S2000."
Ermmm is that a little unnerving to anyone else? What happens if you're on the highway and your tire is shredded or beyond repair?

ya honda says MSRP Is 38k!
and about the tire repair kit, i assumed they assumed that most people purchasing a 40k car sprung for the road side assistance on insurance

I took my spare outa my s the first day i got it. I wouldn't use the spare even if i had it. Those spares are garbage. I just use AAA. $100.00/year isnt too bad.
