k20 running issues
after replacing the k20 and removing the turbo, the car is running rich, fouling plugs, and wont rev past ~4000rpm. The car is a 2002 civic si hatch, standard trans. What could this be?
You say that a turbo was removed, what engine management did it have when the turbo was on it? If this wasn't removed it's likely running a turbo tune on it and that's why it's running so rich. Does it have Hondata K-Pro? GReddy E-Manage? Cybernation Guardian? You need to give more information to get more indepth answers and ideas.
It was running GReddy E-Manage, and we drove it home to the apartment with it attached, but it was running very bad, and barely made it home. We took that off though and left the battery unplugged for 2 days to try and reset the ecu.

Heh, you only need to wait like 2 minutes to let the ECU reset. It's instantly drained if you turn the headlights on or try starting the car with the battery disconnected. Other components (airbags) are said to take longer (30 minutes).
First off, get us the code it's throwing (AutoZone can give it to you free).

I had the same problem in mine, it wouldnt rev past 4k rpm. The problem with mine was that i had a small oil leak i didnt know of, and there wasn't enough oil so the oil press. dropped and thats what was causing the problem. So you might want to check out the oil and make sure you got plenty in there and that there are no leaks.
