Default need help with buying crank and rod bearings for k24

i am trying to buy crank and rod bearings for my k24. i bought the block with less than 3000 on it. i got it disassembled. i went to acura and honda to get pricing on them. i was told that i needed specific colors for the crank. does that matter? also when you buy bearings to they come in a pack of 2 or just 1? My r.o. says i bought 6 rod bearings, 6 upper and 6 lower crank bearings. does that make sence?

my total was $340 from dealership. hondaautomotiveparts.com was around $180

Yes, you need to know the colors you need, that is Honda's way of differentiating their thickness. You bought 6 upper bearings, and 6 lower bearings, so you have 6 complete sets of bearings, yes that makes sense. There are 2 things i do not understand though.

1. Why did you spend $340 on something you were unsure of?

2.They told you that you needed to know the specific colors to order, you didnt know them, yet they still sold you something?

You need 8 rod bearings and 10 main bearings. Having 6 rod bearings and 12 main bearings is not exactly what you need.
