Default depinning ecu plugs

I am in the middle of my MPFI swap and I need to depin the eCU plugs and just can't seem to get the wire to come out of the plug.I have the two white clips removed but the wire refuses to come out.I am sure I could get the pin out but I'm not sure what I would tear up in the process so I thought I would just ask people who know much more than I do.Thanks

get a small pick and look at the plug with the wires facing you. you will see a tab kinda deal on the pin try to get behind that and pull the wire out. its hard to explain without pictures. be careful not to mess up the hole though, the first time I wired my hatch for a b16 the pins ended up being very loose.

I found it was actually a hell of a lot easier to attack the pins from the front. They won't ever click into place *quite* right again, but it hasn't created any issue for me either. Along the center of the ECU clip you'll see little holes and you can stick a small screwdriver / pick / whatever in there and pull at the pin from the back, with some effort, get them free.

yeah you can do it that way, but like you said it damages the connector and can cause poor terminal tension that turn in electrical problems and ses lights.
