Default SH hub vs base hub

When looking at some of the aftermarket steering hubs some say they are for the base model only. I believe it has something to do with the ATTS unit. Does anyone know more about this ?

It has to do with the steering angle sensor.

It's been a few years since I've done this, but IIRC, the SH has an additional relief on the hub. The base has two reliefs for these tabs, and the SH has three. The additional tab on the column is for the steering wheel angle sensor for the ATTS system.

To adapt a base hub to the SH, you just need to add this additional relief, which can be done with a dremel.

I've never taken a base hub and installed it on an SH, but I do know that an S2k wheel installs on a base fine, and for the SH, you have to dremel that additional relief on the steering wheel boss.
