i have never done any body work, but my honda is my project car and im using it to learn everything (i built the motor all by myself etc lol).
so heres the deal, at this point i am undecided on final color, most likely just redo the stock color, or i will do a flat color, at which point i wont bother with bay and jams right away.
so my main question is if i stick with the oem color is it necessary to prime? or can i just block sand to find the dents, then fill and sand them and then spray color after proper cleaning?
i want to do this on a budget too, but still have it look semi good.
thanks for any input!

if most of your car is in decent shape and doesnt need alot of body work. hit the whole car with 1000wet. in the areas that need body work get a angle grinder I forgot the name of the wheels that take off paint. but take the paint of that area blend that paint out. fill the area where the bare metal is exposed(dent). sand down with 220 then feather with 400. you can l primer seal the panel that you did. sand if needed. then you can shoot new color over old color. I dont think you will need sealer over old paint since its the same color.
