Are they the exact same color? or is one grey and one black?

 

for a prelude u cant use AP2, the airbag wont go off if u crash.

oops i swear i saw this in the prelude forums

but yeah ap1/2 steeringwheels have diff plugs airbags.. a new safety feature or something for AP2

 

can provide a link or something from where you saw it?

The ap1 have a single stage air bags while the ap2 have a 2-stage air bags.

I was told you can use the ap2 steering wheel in the prelude

 

The airbag can indeed be used although it requires rewiring.
Many people have done this from time to time.

The AP2 steering wheel is the exact same color as the AP1 steering wheel.
