98 Accord V6 Very hard to start after it rains....
My '98 Accord v6 has major starting issues after it rains. I have to crank the engine over for a few minutes (yes literally a few minutes) before it will even attempt to fire.
I have replaced the rotor and cap and the wires later today.
Once it does start it runs like crap for a while.
It stumbles and chokes and stalls if attempting to take off quickly.
After running for 10 to 15 minutes it runs fine and will start again fine as long as it does not sit over night and it rains again.
The car starts and runs fine if it has not rained......
Any advice is MUCH appreciated.

I think you are on the right track, there may still be moisture issues in the distributor, its hard to get out, changing the cap and rotor is a start but spark is very high voltage and it will jump to a wet surface in the distributor before it will go through thousands of ohms of wire, an air gap at the rotor and an air gap at the spark plug (along with its resistance) inside of a cylinder under compression.
This could be moisture build up elsewhere but I dont know off the top of my head. You stated you still needed to get wires, this may be it, the spark may be jumping out the side of the wire down in the spark plug well just prior to the spark plug, so wires is next and hopefully a FIX.

Thats exactly what I was thinking.

Thanks for the POSTs....
I am VERY happy to report that it was the spark plug wires.
Mainly the wire from the coil to the cap.
I took a spray bottle while the car was running and started spraying under the hood until the car stalled..... replaced the wires and all is great again.
Thanks again!
