Ive got a 4 door 2000 civic dx 5 speed... The check engine light is on therefore i cant get the car inspected (live in new york). I took it to the honda dealer and they said the main emissions computer is shot and i need a new one which their estimate was 1200 (including labor)....is that really the case or is it just another attempt to take a lot of money from my pocket?? lol Where can i get one of these computers and how hard is it to install??? Any help would be appreciated.
