Default New motor for CRX...input needed

I recently purchased a crx for $350 with the intentions of building a street warrior. The CRX is completely gutted with just upper dash, cluster, and 2 seats. Soon the car is getting sent out for a roll bar. But as for motor....

Recently I got a motor in a trade but i guess timing was off so a valve went through one of the pistons. So the motor needs new pistons, bore and hone, new bare head and new valves.

The head did have Brian Crower valve springs and retainers, flat valves, port and polish and Skunk2 Pro3 cams.

Since I can salvage the springs, retainers and cams I am going to buy a bare gsr head to bump up compression and get flat valves again and port and polish.

The block right now consists of a B18C, 81..5mm bore with JE 12.5:1 pistons, eagle rods, block guard, and arp headstuds.

I obviously need new pistons so I am going to bore out the block to 82mm since thats the most I was recommended i should do.

I am looking for ideas on what other things I might buy. I want to have a good high compression motor but I would also like to run a 50 shot on those just in case situations. I will be shopping around for tuners but most likely go to someone of Jeff Evans rank. So I will either be using Hondata or ECTune. Im just looking for recommendations on what might benefit my setup.
I understand a GOOD intake manifold/TB and header setup will help the motor breath. I am looking for an 11second CRX on slicks.

well you mention the timing was off and it broke a valve.. that makes me think youre inexperienced and if that is so you shouldnt have pro3's.

hmm maybe i got the motor with a hole in the piston? you ever think of that? but please tell me how pro3s have to do with experience besides timing the motor right, the piston hit the valve when it was untuned

What hes trying to say is Pro3's are huge cams and can not just be thrown into a motor at 0,0 and run. You will either have v2v interference or p2v contact, guaranteed. They are too big for a 1.8 anyway.

i understand that...when it comes to the motor being put together to be dropped in the car i will make sure a reputable shop assists me on the timing part...why is it too big for a 1.8?

I think Pro 2's would be more appropriate.
