What rims would you suggest for this car?
So this is my car, 1993 Civic EX 99% stock.
I have looked at several different possibilities for rims but since I can't see them on my car first I am having a hard time choosing because I don't want to get rims that make my car look stupid. I have seen too many people put the wrong rims on a sweet ride which overall makes it look like crap. So make a suggestion and post pics of what you would put on this car if it were your ride.

What are your plans for the car? Swap? Daily Driver? Track? Strip? Decide which direction your going start with the suspension according to the direction headed. Then jump into the bay give her a paint job if she needs it then slap on some wheels.
Lets say my budget is around $400
There are some other things I am going to do like get new tint and yes a paint job.
I'm not really a racer I just want to deck out my ride and make it look bad ***.
I might consider performance upgrades later but for now just pimping my ride.

How much does it cost to lower your ride?
And how much would you recommend lowering it?
Can I do it my self?
My little brother has an eclipse and his is so low that he always has to be really careful and he cant go into some lots at all.

Get something in 18 inch or higher..... and make sure u dont lower the car....
Lower it first. If you want to be like your little bro. and be that low, look into the slammed suspension thread. And btw, is your bro.'s car actually slammed, or does it just have an huge front bumper, making it easy to scrape lowered .5 inches?
well since your budgets $400, you're either looking at some used oem wheels or rotas. Rotas are great if you don't mind the rota bashing, haha. oh and lowering your car can be as cheap as almost nothing if you want to be ghetto about it and cut your springs. ive heard some ebay coilovers work pretty well(theres a thread on it you can search). I suggest doing it right with some lowering springs and aftermarket shocks. I'm dropped 1.75 up front and 1.5 in the back and thats about as low as i can go without making driving a hastle, it all depends where you live. Oh and I suggest some rota jmags:

oh, and like solbros said, I'd lower the car first since that will make your car look better than new wheels. drop first, wheels next.
