Just curious, did a search and came back with nothing. Does the b18c5 require more frequent adjustments? Then say a b16?

So mileage wise what would you say?

Yes sir... Only reason I do the track car so much is it's really never below 4k and see's 9100...
Mah other car, since it's still "hurt" will be fine at the current intervals. After the rebuild shortly, it will be back down to 2 oil changes.
(same with tire rotations)

I've driven my '97 60,000 miles and have done three adjustments. The last two were the least necessary. I must be getting better at these.
BTW, the Snap-On tool rules and I've found the Craftsman fold-out feeler gauge kit works best because if you bend or damage one of the leaves, they'll replace it. Karma will probably catch up with you for tool neglect though.

I've only done it twice in 80,000 miles. Last time I did it was when I rebuild the motor about 6k ago.
Ideally it should be checked like every 10k or so. Once you get good at it you can be done in 20 mins.

Wow, you guys do it way more often than you need to. Do you actually find them out of adjustment when you do it that often? (I doubt it.) It doesn't hurt anything to check them more often, but jeez, it's a lot of unnecessary time and/or money.
FWIW, the service manual has the same recommendation for the Type R as other Integras: every 30K miles or 2 years, whichever comes first. (I think valve adjustments are dependent primarily on mileage and not time, so I wouldn't worry too much about the "2 years" part.)

Very true, the B18C5s//C6s//JDM R motors generally have a louder valve train, I know it's normal, I pretty much do it just for the hell of it, even though I know it's not needed that frequently, it just eases my mind... If and when I do find them out of adjustment it's very very very little...

That's what I was wondering. It's not really a costly thing because you can take reuse the valve cover gasket and washers twice after removal.

True, but I stockpile quite a few certain parts, as well as a lot of bolts/nuts/screws/washers so I'm not too worried about it...

I'd say more than twice
I have at least 6 or 7 removal/reinstalls of the VC and have yet to replace any of the gaskets, and none are leaking so far.
