So I've had this leak since I've had the car, but since im getting tires mounted at a mech shop, I figured I'd get them to deal with it. I have a leak from the side of my head on my h22a4, which is either from a crack in the hose or the O-ring. There's also another possible leak which is the cam cap seal cuz theres a leak that leaks onto the Ypipe of my header. (from the back of the head i assume) all in all, the car runs great and I haven't had any performance issues with it. Im wondering how long hondabond on the leak will work?
And the leak only happens after VTEC, which I think has to do with extra stress and higher heat causing viscosity of the oil to thin out and leak, cuz when my car is cold and i'm econo-driving theres no leak at all. Im on 10w30 Castrol Syntec by the way.
It says on the label that its compatible with all conventional and synthetic oils.. so does that mean I can top it off with mobil1 even? (i have 8quarts just sitting here waiting to switch over when I get tires put in too.) My first instinct was no, but I figured castrol wouldn't put that on the label if there was limitations right?
