Default Disabling e-brake and 0mph to lower top while moving

Yeah I was crusing around 70 mph (maybe faster i dont know I was drinking and

keeping my eyes on the hooker I had picked up and had beside me that was trying to

get in my pockets) and I thought how cool would it be to be able to lower the top now?

So can anyone tell me how to disable that function?

Yes. It's just one wire.

Have fun. ROFL.

It's actually the speed sensor not actually the ebrake. You'll just need to put the ebrake to one click and boom it goes down or up.

Sweet...

Anyways.

- Pull the bottom dash panel on the passenger's side (connected by 6 clips)
- You'll see two plugs with a bunch of wires connected to this black "control box"
- Pull out the plug on the right. should have 4 wires on the top and 6 on the bottom I believe (the smaller of the two plugs)
- Then cut the black/white wire. (it should be on the bottom row, second from the left)
- Tape up both ends with electrical tape.

You should be set to go. This allows you to put the ebrake on one click and put the top up or down while rolling.

Now you could go all the way, and cut the ebrake wire also so you don't have to put the ebrake on one click, but I would suggest against that, just due to safety reasons.

If this is a trick its a pretty elaborate one. One that you really thought out well to make

me go through all this trouble to probably in the end short out my car.

Papasmurf = evil.

You cut one wire. As I stated, I suggest against cutting the ebrake wire due to safety reasons.

I also noticed that even with car stopped and e-brake engaged, if the car is in gear the top won't move.

Car being in gear doesn't not matter.

I only cut the white wire with the black stripe and it worked.. Very nice free mod to do that looks alot better when moving at 5 or 10 mph.

What method did you use to remove the panel w/o breaking it?

(Im going to try it but I dont want to break the clips or panel)

I read that by pulling the panel straight toward the passenger seat?

Also how could I remove the speed sensor wire without cutting the wire i.e. leaving the metal connector still attached so i can replug at a later date?
