ok, car is a 92 Si h23a1.

car cant hold a constant speed without shacking, it stutters and rattles trying to hold 40mph. it will accelerate and unaccelerated just fine, no problems. the oil light is blinking at me, (i know oil sending unit/ or bad pressure) i get a CEL, my EGR isnt hooked up. im running a block off. so how do i make it so that CEL doesnt pop up? i want to check the other CELs. at idle is smokes BAD, i mean a ton of white smoke. it smells like it burning coolant and oil. but the coolant levels and oil level are fine. the only psychically wrong i can see is im low on brake fluid and i dont have a radiator overflow tank. it also ticks, im guessing from the head. its not a knock, just a slight tick, you can hear it while driving.

so tell what the hell is wrong? the motor was just rebuilt last year. also car is a 5spd, if that matters.

the ticking is probably ur motor begging for a valve job

for the constant speed thing, turn on cruise control and see if that'll maintain it.

for the smoke, why dont u just hold idle and pop ur hood? then u can see where the smoke is coming from

 

cruise is uninstalled.

the smoke is onlt coming from the exhaust.

 

in that case, what color? cross reference with the search button and u got a few things down. since u dont have CC, does it accelerate smoothly like if u floor it?

 

did this just happen all of a sudden?

for the egr just plug in the valve and tie it off somewhere, or hook it up like normal and see if that cures the problem.

 

the smoke is white. is accelerates like it life is on the line. it pulls damn hard.
