Any aftermarket lip will not have the same fitment as an OEM lip.

my little cousin ruined his OEM ITR lip and replaced it with a replica ITR lip. It just doesn't look the same, well at least i can tell the difference.

I have a ghetto carbon fiber lip on mine, and honestly, it fits JUST as good as OEM. Even tighter.

Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to give JDMSH!T's a try.

Sons Acura sells them for a SHADE over $300, already painted. Quite a deal.

Did you know the front bumper is actually cheaper than the lip, although it's not painted but still, at least from sons that is.

OT: Anybody think these lips will ever get discontinued and then be uber rare and hard to get like the OEM optional side skirts and rear valence?

Good possibility, I'm surprised they still make them now

The reason they haven't been discontinued, is because they come STOCK on a model, not stock OPTIONAL.

Optional components are only made for so long, until they are discontinued. From what I can see, typically around 6-7 years after the last year of the model's production.

I don't think they'll discontinue them any time soon.

I could be way off though.

Car companies are rquired to keep OEM replacements in stock for 10 years after a vehicle has stopped production. This doesn't apply to accessories. I'm not sure if this an actual law or just a commitment from the Manufacturer.

For $200, figure you're going to have to dish another $100 or so to have it sprayed... So you're at $300, when you could have purchased an OEM PAINTED lip, for $300 and change.

When I bought my 97, the lip was cracked and so when I got heR repainted I bought a Comptech lip for her. Fitment and style on the Comptech lip is from what I can tell the exact same as OEM, plus it probably won't break as easily. But here in Canada it was worth it to buy, because it was like $500 cheaper than an OEM one.
