Default '97 Del Sol VTEC #650 of the last 750 produced

For Sale: 1997 Del Sol VTEC DOHC 5-speed, original motor, tranny, 137,XXX miles
Cypress green.

Features: Original B16A2 AEM cold air intake
Header
Exedy Stage 2 clutch
Greddy SP2 Catback
Koni Yellow coilovers
16" Rota GT3 rims
Blitz body kit
Fog lights
non-stock tail lights
auto door locks, 4 wheel discs, ABS
Here's the scoop. I'm the 3rd owner (my son drives it) of this car, first was a man in his 60's who babied the car. 2nd owner had it for 2 years and put most of the mods on. I added the Greddy catback because the previous owners exhaust was too loud. Nice car, wish it were stock. Body is solid except for a couple of small areas of surface rust on the lip of the hood and trunk. Passenger side window has a minor leak. Couple of circular small dings (about 1") that could be popped out. Scratch just behind the drivers door that looks like it could be buffed out. New rear rotors/pads.

Now the bad, car said hello to a snow bank last winter and the bumper/fiber glass is busted up, minor deformation of the passenger fender. Falkens are pretty worn but will be getting new tires shortly. The 2nd owner ran the car really low and the header pipes took some hits. The engine runs strong and VTEC engages right on que. Has a new stereo but has no amp and still has the factory speakers. Was told that the car has seen nothing but Mobil 1 5W-30, it doesn't burn oil.
I have the original alloy wheels, in good shape except for one missing lug nut cover and have some worn out Yokohamas on them. This car isn't perfect but is fairly rare because only 750 '97 VTECS were made. It could be upgraded or returned to stock appearance without too much effort.

VIN # JHMEG2170VS000650 Asking $5500 will consider offers. Pictures to follow

I uploaded pictures to iserve but the link to transfer them to my post is apparently down. Will try later. I can email them if anyone wants them sooner.

Not really looking to part it out at this time. It would be a shame to part out a car that's so hard to find.

No offense taken, the car came with the rice stuff on it and I'm weighing the cost of ditching the body kit.

No it is the factory B16 a2, the manual tranny is the factory original what ever that is. Just put new tires on and will be installing a 93-95 style front bumper this week. Will be losing the ricer side skirts as well as soon as I can find some OEM skirts.

Pretty sure all del sols came with a b16a3 from the factory, not a2. Either way wanna get into drifting? I have a corolla gt-s with a jdm swap & suspension on it. Let me know.
