Default 08' civic Si?

Hello all, im new on here but the forum looks awesome and i figured id ask whats on my mind. (hope this is in the right section)

Im lookin to buy a civic soon and i had recently gone and test drove them. Now besides the fact i originally wanted an SI, friends and family think i should just settle for an EX. I would guess you guys would prolly recommend an SI but i wanted to see what you as owners and lovers thought the pros and cons were.

also when will the 08' SI's drop and how long should i wait before i can get a good price on one?

im 20, work 40hrs a week. only pay for phone and insurance right now.

thanks.

Well it depends on what you want out of your civic.. If you just want a sporty daily driver, get an EX.. want a sporty daily driver with good power stock, and alot of potential, get an SI.. I would get the SI, but im a dohc vtec freak... But yeah, if you dont really care about performance, get an EX, because they are sick looking.

I messed around with the SI on Honda's website, and put a crap load of options on it, and it get pretty spendy.. but yeah, you can get a SI for a few grand more than an EX, dont know the exact MSRP difference though. and depending on how you drive it, your gonna get 20MPH+city, 30+highway,and getting premium is a MUST, but wont add up to be that much more than regular.. definately worth the extra price in gas, and if you want the performance, get the SI for sure...... go to Honda's website and check out all the options and just build one for fun.. I never have had NAVI, and I would never need it, but if I was to buy new, I would probably get it just to be BALLIN. haha... SI

i love my si, but then i am a dohc vtec guy too. i love performance and i don't think that gas mileage is that bad. i always said i didn't need the navi but i'm in love with it. still don't know if i justify the price for it, but it's a work of art. i never do use it much, but yeah...extra bling

Keep this in mind when buying a new car... well its what i try to go by.... never take sticker price(obviously) they will always drop the price about $800.00 giving you the added stuff the dealer puts on (mud flaps, wheel locks etc..) thats too easy for them... always try to talk them down $2000.00 if you cant its prly not worth it... search around check out 3 dealers and negotiate price... i called around for 2 weeks workin prices and deals.. one dealer finially gave me a good one... dont pay for paperwork thats horseshit most places will wave it... and right before you sign all the paperwork... talkin last minute... ask for a new price and threaten to walk out... believe me they came that far they will go more...
sorry for the long *** write up... hope it helps yah...
