The backrests will fit fine. The cushion will have a gap between it and the backrests. To compensate, a DB8R cushion is needed.

If you want another opinion. You can take your original seats and a picture of the type-r seats to an auto upholsterer and have the reupholstered for less or about the same price of ITR seats and you'll ensure fitment and safety of your rear seats.

That idea is so much better. There are several good upholsterers because they do work from regular kitchen chairs to exotic barcelona chairs.
