Who owns a D series that's pretty fast?
I'm trying to stay with my stock D series engine and make it respectable. I'm just wondering if anyone else has stayed SOHC and made their car pretty fast. And if so, what mods do you have.
i know a gut that took a 97 civic motor and is running turbo mid teens and runs a 13 sec 1/4 mi. in a crx with full inter and on street tires. plus he shows the car..
yes, that'll be ME in a couple months, I have my d16a6 in the garage right now getting built/rebuild along with 89 integra pistons i have laying in here in my room

there was also this other blue CRX D16 turbo with somthing about 100hp all from NOS...his car runs 11s or somthing. He was trying to sell it. this post was about unmmmmmmmm lets see... maybe 6months ago.... i know alot of people on this form know and remember wich CRX i'm talking about right...... wish i knew which post it was.
A D16A6 around my area is putting down 150hp @ the wheels all motor. It's a daily driver as well.

me next month: d15b1 block stock rods and pistons d16a6 head ported and polished shaved to 12:1 compression. reground d16a6 cam. mpfi'd, cai, 2" header back exhaust no cat. stock valves and retainers. car is fully gutted cept for door panels and dash. chipped pm6 ecu. stang 5.0L fuel pump, aem rail, b&m fpr, 450cc dsm injectors, apex safc to control it all.
currently:
d15b1 block and head, si intake manifold pm6 ecu, cai header back exhaust no cat. 5* advanced timing. fully gutted. valve train and cam are stock.
right now it'll beat up on b16's all day long
and no i dont need all that fuel for a NA 1.5L. basicly im just ******* around w/ fuel management so next summer i dont blow a b18b turbo (next summers project)

i know a few buddies that drive pretty fast crx's w/ out motor swaps. There is about 3 near me, out of all of them, only 1 seems to be real fast. i know he has a 88'' shell w/ a 97 SOHC vtec, LS pistons, crv tran. w/ I/h/e. this lil thing screams! i think he has a small shot of nitrous on it, but not too much. The reason i say this because it can hang w/ mod. DOHC vtecs as well...no joke! but i forgot to mention until the DOHC vtec hits 3rd!
ZC....is a D series.
I plan to have almost 400HP by the time I'm done with my Build.
Motor will be done in August. Then fuel setup....then turbo setup...then head setup...400HP await's!!

he has nice zebra graphics along with tiger print
pretty pink stickers on the side..

I was in the Philippines last 4-5 months ago and saw very quick EG hatch!! It ran low 13's and it's daily driven car.. I was shocked when I saw the engine!! Here are some pics of it..
