thowing codes 22 and now 21.
I have a 93 civic with a turboed ls vtec setup. for a little while now whenever i hit vtec for any time i would throw a check engine light (code 22 Vtec pressure valve), i was told i could possibly fix this by removing the vtec solenoid and cleaning the small mesh screen inside with parts cleaner. i never got around to it, and when i would turn the car off the code would go away, and since i rarely hit vtec since i daily my car, it was really a high priority.
now today i noticed that the check engine light was coming on right away and would not turn off, so when i jumped it i noticed the normal code 22 along with a new code of 21 (Vtec spool solenoid valve) i have no idea what this code is, other then im guessing it controls vtec. any ideas on how to fix this?

try to clean vtec solenoid with brake cleaner and then hot wire it to hear if it clicks...u cant run vtec without solenoid.
that reminds me that i have to clean my vtec solenoid this weekend.
