Default '60 Foot / 1320 question.

Hey. As of now, I'm runnin 15.0@91mph with a 2.31 '60. I'm goin to the track this week to see if I can hit 14.9 or better. I was just curious if there is some sort of ratio of improving '60 times... like if I hit 2.21 '60 will I drop two tenths or something like that?

Thanks.

PS>> This is a '00 Si with just bolt-ons and a street tuned VAFC (5600rpm + 3% lean)

In most cases that is true.

probably your problem is that you dont have enough top end pull on the car. you can get of the hole okay but your car just runs out pwr ot make it run what it needs

I've had the same happen to me. I was hitting 2.4's constanstly, but When I ran a 2.3 it knocked off two tenths off my e.t.

Yeah, it's a stock b18b. It feels like it only pulls till about 64-6500rpm, then it's all down hill from there. I usually shift at 6800-7000 just so the revs don't drop off to much. Maybe it will improve with the turbo.....

AEM CAI, Skunk2 IM, DC USDM 4-1, Axle-Back, and VAFC....

Just got back from the track, I couldn't get past 15.2@91mph ... the temp was about 15 deg. hotter than last time when I got 15-flat, but mostly I couldn't get my 60' foot times down... I really need to practice launching...

Pacific Raceway (Seattle International), Kumho 205/50/15 -- crappy tires, very over-rated. Running Street PSI. They don't have air at the track.

Temp was about 90 deg. at the track.

I think I just need practice launching... any hints would be greatly appreciated tho.

yeah, i was there too! and my 60fts were terrible!
i switched my wastegates cuz i wasnt really thinking of running that day, but, out of the blue i just said F it!! so boosting 5lbs on street tires netted me a best of 15.1 @ 98mph with a very ugly 2.7 60fts!!! thats with launching way below the usual RPM launch...

so to those guys wanting turbo, DONOT even try racing with only 5lbs of boost!! its just a waste of time.
