Default CTR pistons B16a2?

I want to up my compresion in my motor and I no that the CTR pistons will work in the block, but I have heard that the rods need to be shaved 1mm. But then other people say that they fit with no modification. I was just wondering if someone could clear this up for me.( I searched) And what would a good cam choice be. Thanks

Indeed, the rods need to have 1mm shaved off each side to fit the pistons. I have a 2000 Si (b16a2) with CTR pistons, so I am telling you this from personal experience.

How was it taking apart your block. Was it easy, How much did it cost to shave the rods, and are there any problems that I need to know about doing them?

Taking the block apart is easy, if you have all the right tools, and a lot of patience.

I don't remember how much it cost to shave teh rods, but it was not much at all, when compared to the rest of the machine work.

i used both a .074" and .062" headgasket because the first head was milled way too much and they worked just fine. i currently have a stock headgasket but this head is not milled.
