Default will a 91 Si motor bolt into a 92 4ws??

i have a 91 si daily driver and i just came across a 92 4WS model with a blown motor that the guy just gave to me. The 92 is in much better shape visually then my 91 Si. Was just wondering if the motor from the Si will swap into the 4WS. I am aware that the Si has a 2.0 B20A5, not sure about the 92, but i know its a 2.2. Any info will help alot, thanks!

Hmmm...91 is a 3rd gen and a 92 is a 4th gen. 2 different cars with totally different engines that definately won't interchange. The 92 either has an F22 SOHC nonVTEC or an H22 DOHC VTEC engine.

No, you will need a new motor for the 92 Lude.

I looked at it and it definatly has a DOCH but non vtec, looks just like my B20A5 in my 91 but more displacement (2.2L) look like the same mount configuration also...

It will not fit without a ton of work, such as:

new custom mounts
a ton of rewiring
shifter/linkage
axels

And more items that I'm leaving out. You are way better off to find an engine out of a 4th gen, since the mounts are all the same for that. Or get a car without a blown engine...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by circuitEG6 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I looked at it and it definatly has a DOCH but non vtec, looks just like my B20A5 in my 91 but more displacement (2.2L) look like the same mount configuration also...</TD></TR></TABLE>

In that case it could be an F22B DOHC from the Japanese market....it's a common H23 replacement.

question... why would you want to put a b20a5... 140 hp motor in instead of an h23 with 160 hp... or even better, h22 with 190-200 hp depending on the year lol. go h22... mad veetaks ftw.
