Default Fitment

Couple questions:

1) Are all of the B series engines the same size? If a B18 just a larger displacement B16 - any differences? I'm trying to use a B18A engine out of a '90 Integra in my civ, but want to make sure it will work. Any thoughts on this?

2) What other Honda or other brand seat directly bolt into EF?

Thanks,

91Civic300K

IBTL.

any B-series motor in an EF chasis does not bolt up directly. You need a mount kit for your application. HASport is one company that specializes in swap components. In your situation, if your thinking about a B18A, you would need the EFB1 mount kit from http://www.hasport.com (I think it goes for $399).

If your looking for a direct bolt in application that gives you more power than your stock motor, I would recommend searching for "mini-me" thread titles. Basic idea, take a non-vtec block, and put a vtec head on it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but ZC motors also bolt in directly. DOHC non-vtec.

B-series are very popular swap's in EF cars, but you'll need more than just mounts to get it going. For example, your stock shift linkage will not work. You'll need to modify a DA shift linkage, or purchase the EFBLINK from Hasport. You'll be using different axles also.

Also your question has been asked numerous times before, so I recommend using the search feature in the top right to gain more insight and also check the CRX/EF FAQ at the top of the forum page.

Good luck.
