Power Loss and Car jumps while in gear / Sputter
Ok not to long ago i had made a post about my lude and this issues i was having.
When driving and hard accelerating the car would jump like the clutch was slipping.
and it would whine when going into first hear.
So i replaced the flywheel, clutch disk, throughout bearing(release bearing), and Pressure plate.
Now that it has an amazing clutch system and new lightweight flywheel. im still in the break-in process.
But i noticed at the higher RPMS 4k+ it still jumps. Almost like a sputter and when it does that i does not have any pull.
I also replaced the spark plugs, distributor cap, distributor rotor wheel, Spark wires, Cold Air intake filter, Oil Change, Water Pump, Timing Belt, Timing belt tensioner.
Now the only thing I did not do personally was the timing belt and water pump and tensioner.. Now in regards to that. i think even know that there is and AUTO tensioner. the belt whines almost sounding like its a supercharged motor. So i think its to tight.
Then i was thinking I also have a 3" exhaust system from the flex back. so my setup goes
Factory header -> Factory down pipe -> Factory Flex -> Conversion Pipe from factory flex size to 3" -> 24" GlassPack Muffler(resonator) -> 3" MagnaFlow Muffler -> 3" to 3.5" tip.
My thoughts on this is. i love the deep sounds that it does produce. but is it possible that i am loosing so much back pressure that it is causing the problem? even know that it has never started the jumping until now?
Or do you think it could have something to-do with the timing?
I’m at a loss right now?
Here is the install of all my parts that i just did lastnight.

If it uses an autotensioner, the tension on the belt is automatically adjusted, so it can't be too tight.

No that's not your problem. My track car uses a 3" exhaust and it runs perfect at every RPM.

How did you do your exhaust? i would be interested to see how you routed your exhaus specially around the rear wheel. and i will try to do a compression check tomorow morning and then i will let you know. thank you.
maybe the drive belt? ya my uncles supra makes that same supercharging sound even thought its N/A lol. ya so it should be one of the drive belts ( s/c,water pump, alternator, etc.)
did you ever get this problem fixed cuz Im having the same problem with my 93 h22. the only difference that I see is that I have dc headers that go to a 3'' straight pipe. when you got to v-tec did it go in and out?

the whine is most likely your accessory belts too tight. Your hesitation can be many different things. Do you have any idea what kind of A/F ratios your running ? Do you have any codes ? Any vacuum leaks or exhaust leaks before the primary o2 sensor ? Have you replaced the o2 sensor ever ?
