I'll give you 500 for the GSR swap, you'll double your money and then some

If it's a GS engine, it's the same as any RS/LS as well, but you'll most commonly hear it called the "LS" or B18A1. It might still be worth it if your willing to put just a little bit of time and money to get the engine in.

Who ripped you off $200 for a spoon chip? Is it just a single chip, or an entire ecu? Either way, don't even think about using that garbage. All those ebay spoon/mugen/skunk2 chips are just basemaps with jacked up fuel maps and just as bad ignition maps, with stupid high rev-limits. Please don't use it.

agreed ^^^^^^^^^

... look on the left side of the block looking at the headers. to the left... there is a flat spot bumped out and faceing up slightly look for B18A1 (ls/rs/gs) or b18c1 (GSR)

and its always fun to build up a dohc. either are a more fun bolt on than the Dseries 1.5/1.6 whether its vtec or not.. there is a great artical in honda tuning's (magazine) august issue 2007 for non vtec lovers. page 28 also in that same issues, they break down some d series "junk yard power adders" since your going to votec this could be an option for you as well

I think 13's might be a bit of a high goal, especially because we're talking about a stock B18, with (i'm guessing) and LS transmission, and sounds like your first time at the track.

I think you're going to be running 14s. Not trying to discourage you, just being realistic. You will need more money / upgrades to run higher.

And what was the original point of the thread? Oh yeah. LS > D15. Put the LS in.

i think you need to do a bit more research. please read more about the actuall type of engine you have before you further hurt a perfectly good engine or yourself.... starting off knowing nothing isn't bad, but not trying to LEARN more is horrible... don't respond on a TECH site and make yourself look bad. while your learning just take information in and ask knowledgable questions... there are many people on here that are not tolerant of ignorance... although there still is some that will try to help, even when those "ignorant" people think they know what they are talking about. WIZCO is one of them... there are many others that will put you in your place here
help yourself and help the progression of others learning about hondas

PLEASE RESEARCH YOUR GOALS AND THE ENGINE READ READ READ

Are you talkin' ta me?.....*in Robert D voice*......lol....

Srsly though, youngin', Do a lot of reading and searching and ask well thought out questions and this site can go a long way in helping you to your goals.
But if you act like you know it all already.....hell awaits thee.

I would dump that "chip" you have and find a virgin ecu and start from there.
A chip wont do you any good at all untill you have done some internal mods and all the bolt ons at the least.
