I just installed my VIS carbon fiber trunk and I hate how the spring throws the trunk up so brutally due to the lightweight trunk!!!! What can I do to keep it from doing this? Just remove the spring assembly??? Please Help! BTW the car is a 98 EJ8, Thanks!!!

 

yeah, i'd vote remove the spring.

how much does the trunk weigh excataly?

 

A hell of alot less than the factory one thats for sure!!! Maybe 10-12 lbs is my guess?

 

Id take the spring off since the CF trunk is light you can easily life it without using the spring
