Welding Together A 2-Piece Header???
OK I am really sick and tired of this damn gasket blowing out. It is the gasket that is where the two pieces of the header join. Has anyone ever welded together a two-piece header? Sorry if this has been posted before but I have this question just burned into my brain. I have an uncle that can weld it for me but does anyone know of any cons if I do end up doing this? Also, I know that TIG is better than MIG welding or vice versa but what if he welds it with the one that is not the better one? Thanks
A Possible Con: Will you be able to install the Header into the car with it Welded Together?
What type/brand of Header?
What type/brand of Header?
Just a regular, no-brand ebay header. Nothing special, just for looks mainly. I know that it would do about the same as a DC Sports, etc., etc. header. I know that a custom header would do a lot better but I don't have $8 hundred+ dollars for a custom one. I know that it would matter for a H22 though. Did I forget to mention this is on an H23A1? Also, I thought it would fit if I raised the header from the bottom of the car. I would probably have to take some things off first though. Like the crossmember or things like that.
=T sounds so immature and stuff, but if u hire a sanitation place to clean it up... its a 3digit bill
