right now i got a 94 civic coupe with a sohc zc non vtec. the car is a dx. if i were to put the sohc vtec engine (d15) and i orderd the block,computer,and tranny from hmotorsonline.com what else would i need to run the vtec motor? any extra switches/ solinoids for vtec or anything and does the computer just plug and play thanks for all the help.

 

i say you take that b18 block and LS tranny your selling, get a VTEC head and call it a day.

if you do the d15b you will just need to run the two wires for VTEC and a knock sensor.

 

well the tranny is gone and i dont feel like buying anohter tranny then building the ls and getting motormounts converting my hydro tranny back to cable etc... i will build the sohc vtec a bit but not extreme. i heard that i need a whole wiring kit any1 no for shure about this? more info plz. thanks in advance.

 

you could get a B series cable tranny. the LS will be much better than the sohc vtec

 

i just want the simplicity of the sohc and dress up my motor nice cuase i dont have a buch of money just for the engine.plus the engine id get is from hmotors online which is the vtec jdm. doesnt it have dhorter gears than whats in my civic now? and i love high rpms in vtec!
