Default Cleaning rubber off your car from previous burnouts?

I know now how to prevent it from sticking, by spraying a light lubriant on it before.
But i currently have rubber everywhere and it smears when i try to clean it off. Any suggestions, Seems like simple green works semi good, but is there anything out there that takes the S#@t right off?

i notice a fresh coat of wax helps the stuff not stick so bad. i use wax to take it off too but im sure it takes alot more work than what others have suggested.

Try lacquer thinner. We'd always use that to get bug marks and whatever else off of brand new cars at the dealership.

i just cleaned mine off this weekend with denatured alchohol. it took me about two hours. i used to use some stuff called burnout gaurd from a local speed shop. i think i am going to start using it again. you just spray it on and wipe it off and the rubber will come right off.

We have 4 cans in the trailer at all times 3 for the rubber and 1 to use to work with

Every pass we clean the sides and then after event under the fenders ---- Then follow over the WD-40 with Quick Detail

Works great !

A good Pre Wax will take that staff off, after that apply a coat of wax and maintain with a regular Spray- N- Wax, works great

paper towels will damage your paint. use a microfiber towel.

I have used WD-40 in the past. Don't really know how good it was for the paint, then again it was race car.

none of this stuff will harm the paint???? i know wax and dishwashing soap such as dawn wont, but wd-40, prepsol and i think someone mentioned lacquer or paint thinner, none of these things will harm the paint?

Dishwashing soap strips wax and is very harsh BUT so is drag racimg on your paint, rocks and rubber flying at your paint hard lol

Just finished rota's car. I used WD-40 first. Worked ok, but as the towel got full it began to smear.

Then I tried Acatone, that worked a little better.

Then I went back the minerial sprits. worked the best of the 3 and is much cheaper.

I'll try prepsol next time.

for some of you with pretty paint jobs, it may be worth it to look into some clear-bra for the doors / fenders.

I know 3m has some film that can be applied, i'm sure other companies offer this as well
