Default Question.....Need An Answer

i just bought a 91 crx si with a ls motor and tranny swap from my friend.
the night before i purchased the car he put on a new distributor and got code 9 so then he tested 3 other dist that he had laying around and all 3 threw code 9 so he put the brand new one back on. the engine harness is brand new and un cut.

brand new dist
uncut harness
perfect timing

what could be wrong?
will it hurt the car if i drive with code 9?

check your connections at the ECU. look for loose pins, broken plugs, etc.
