Default Question about problem with gear transitions on new car

Okay so i bought a new (used) 2000 gsr and ive been experiencing the following problem...

When i shift gears casually around 3500 rpm and slowly into the next gear it grabs the gear just fine and strong...seems like a normal little jerk and the rpms drop and the car goes (im explaining to show the difference between this and the latter)

soo when im pushing the car and i shift around 7500 rpm and shift hard into the next gear with my foot down on the gas as soon as i put in the gear...the gear doesnt grab right away the rpm remains where it was with the car not accelerating and then finally after about 2-4 horrible seconds it grabs the gear and goes but with the rpm now nearly at redline again im forced to shift all over (this was me going from 1st to second gear then forced to 3rd)

so i tired it a few times with similar results...i thought the clutch was going bad but my dad thinks its fine (cuz he doesnt bother to shift like me...hehe) so any thoughts/ideas on whats going on guys??

is your pedal sticking? if your clutch is bad the you will hear a rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! lol you understand? you can tell if the clutch is slipping when you baby the gas then you floor it in the same gear and it take forever to seem like the speed catches the rpms....
