is my remote damaged?
I think the remote for my prestige alarm system is most likely damaged, but i want to be absolutely sure. I dropped it this morning by the curb and it was raining. the curb had a pool of water and it went in. after i took it out i was only able to press the button once to turn off the alarm, after that it stopped working, and everytime i pressed the button, a red light came up on my remote.
I'm not exactly positive which model it is but this is how the remote looks.

if it is broken, do they sell replacement remotes?
also, i never knew what the small green button on the side does, can anyone tell me?

BTW, the green button is an EXT "output" button, can be used for trunk release, or power window module.

turns out the remote wasn't damaged at all, even though I dropped it in the pool of water. I opened it up at home and tapped on one of the buttons on the chip and saw the LED light up, so I was thinking maybe I only have to reprogram the remote, but when I got to my car, the remote worked without me having to reprogram anything. The case was also sealed extremely tight, so maybe no water actually got into the remote.
