Default 91' crx tt drag build (will make 56ks wish they were fast)

The CRX has a one peice fiberglass peice front end, stripped, hasport mounts, new flywheel, ls long block, skunk 2 coilovers and some others i cant think on the top of my head. The car has no (real) rust, minor dents and dings..Now with having our crazy ideas and all the resources to do so, we are going to be fullfilling this cars dream of being a drag car(no street car runs a fibber glaz frunt ind) , we will keep it gutten to hell only runing the cluster, possibly ziptied in place, with a seat, to sit in.we will be putting on two garret gt25(DBB ) with a custom manifold made by our reugalr custom fabrications guy we always go to, The intercooler will be inlet and outlet on the same side, procharger brand, verticle style

just a little run up on whats going on here

what will be going in the car-
b18b:
pistons, rods(undecided)
acl bearings
new oem headgasket
arp head studs
fidanza flywheel (have)
stage 4, 6puck clutch
BC springs, ret.
BC Cams (boost grind)
1000cc injectors or bigger
custom IC setup using a procharger intercooler(have)
twin gt25, DBB turbos(have)
custom TT manifold by bobbys fabs
mild porting
all new gaskets

CAR-
fiber glass front end(in pics)
skunk2s (currently installed)
custom 3-5 gallon fuel cell with inline wally, fuel filter.
AFPR
close ratio ys1 tranny(cable, gsr) looking to weld diff if possible(can you do this?.. i come from a dsm background, posting for a friend)
new rotors, brakes
hasport mounts(alredy have)
some name brand BOV, waste gate, and MBC(have)
OIL pressure guage (have)
boost
shifter bushings
rear lower control arms

ELECTRONICS
we are possibly looking into getting full stand alone MoTeC engine management system, dyno tuned(Thanks NSI)HOPEFULLY, try to use that beautiful cluster. proably wont due to motec.
EGT gauge( have)

ok enough with small talk, heres pics

DAY TWO

wrapping up brake, fuel lines for engine bay paint

heres the z you can see in the first pic-

If you're baller enough to go motec, go buy 1 decent turbo and save yourself the headaches.

Are you using the B18B head or a B16/B18C head?

twin turbos are for v6 and bigger engines imo. there are a few hmt twin turbo cars that have romped the streets, but thats with t25's.

Twin tubo is cool sounding, but piontless on a four cylinder motor, the exhaust gas pulses are not enough for twins to spool up any time soon before 6k or so....... Even if the sizes of the turbos is staggered, it will still be too much for a small motor.

i couldnt agree more about just buying one single turbo.

we also want it to be a wow factor when opening the hood.

we will see boost before 4k.

we got the motor back from getting cleaned- looks good

if you're truly trying to make a legitmate drag car, stay away from the twin turbo idea. I've seen it on inline fours and its stupid. Ridiculous amount of plumbing, even more heat and even less power. play it safe, go with what works and get the real issue that all drag hondas have sorted out.... HOLESHOTS.

People are going to be more wowed by the fact a 12 second CRX with a one piece front end has a turbocharged B-series in it.

The only wow factor there is of a TT Civic is held in the welds of the manifold. It's either "Wow, someone is a damn good fabricator/welder" or "Wow, someone shitted those pieces together". There isn't a real "wow" to having 2 turbos hanging off the front, more like "Y".
You'll make more power with one sufficient turbo. I always go "wow" when the turbo is bigger than the valve cover personally, but anyway.
It makes me ask the question, are you building a hardparker drag car?

You could see boost before 4k on may turbo setups. On a drag car I really wouldn't be too worried about seeing boost at 4k...I'd be more concerned about what's really going on after 4k.

not knockig the build, just trying to understand the reasoning
