What are the benefits of converting to OBD I?

It doesn't make a ton of hp.

well...most of aftermarket ECUs are of OBD I...that's why ppl have to convert them when they want to run a bad *** ECU, also they less useless senseors, just like when you straight pipe or done something else crazy, the engine check like won't come up.
