The Integra I just bought has a strange idling problem...
In neutral, at a complete stop it will stay at around 3,000 RPM.
After driving around for a while, it will go down to about 2,000 RPM at Neutral at a complete stop.
Then eventually if I drive it a lot it will go down to 1,000 RPM at a complete stop.
but the revs won't go down until i come to a complete stop. It will stay up at about 3K until I stop completely.
It's really annoying.
It's a 1998 GSR. I think it either has an ITR Intake Manifold or a BLOX IM. B18C1 Block. Not sure of the head, but I'm sure it's a GSR head...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check everywhere around the manifold and brake booster for leaks or any hoses not connected, clean your IACV, that should be a good start and hopefully you will find a hose not connected that will fix your problem.

How long later? Your car is suppose to idle high when its first warming up, so if the engine sat and cooled for a bit it was probably just warming up again.

well, it worked for a little bit. then a few hours later driving home, it had the high idle. then again this morning driving to work. it would be at around 3K RPM then when i get below 2MPH, it went down to about 1.5K RPM.
what should i do?

Wait for the car to reach operating temp. Or get remote start and start the car from inside your house where you can see what its idling at untill it warms up.
