Need help from the pros
My friend bought a new civic dx (the one with the triangle lights on the back). It's starting to grow on me for a new car. The only thing, he doesn't have an RPM gauge and wants to replace his whole cluster? (I think thats the word for it) Would it be hard to replace those in a 01 to give a RPM gauge and do they sell them or could it be swap'd from a ex same year?
Thank you

Tell him to buy a VAFC or AFC from apexi that way he can moniter his RPM's and he'll have a tuning device for any other mods he does in the future. Or just go buy a tach. I dont know what clusters fit in his car its a 01+ civic sedan right? Even if theres a cluster that will fit it will probably be harder than just plugg and play. I could be wrong though.
Well its the 2dr coupe, this is his first manual (hes not going to race it, just a good daily driver) but he wants to monitor his RPM's for shifting and uphills. I think the only mod he'll do to his car is different wheels.
Also, whats everyone think of the back triangle lights on the 01 02? I didn't like them at first but they are starting to grow on me I guess.

He'll need a cluster from a LX or EX ( I think new LX's have RPM's on them, dont remember) 01 and higher. You COULD order one from the dealer, for xxx.00 amount dollars or you could scope junk yards to see if any have accumulated. The new civic clusters are rather nice so I don't think you'll find one for cheap.
