JDM headers from ebay

Is JDM a name brand? If so, why are these headers only $50? Will they bring the same performance as other brands?

no.. jdm is not a brand.... it's just a way to catch one's attention.... jdm stands for "japanese domestic market"... and so... most import owners will always perform a search under their car's name and add the "jdm" to it.... and since sellers are just as slick... they will add "jdm" to their items... in hopes to sell it more (which eventually.... it happens!)
Performance wise... well... i believe so, maybe 1hp behind the bigger brands out there.... quality of the product... maybe on the long run.... could have leaks on the exhaust... a weld not too strong... but that's a maybe.... since a maybe may never happen!

So if I were to purchase these MEGAN headers, would I notice a great performance difference in my accord?

Will MPG change much?
Wouldn't I need a wider exhaust to increase the outflow? And would this ebay add come with everything I need for installation?
Thanks.

Yes you will notice a gain in performance. Even my buddy that rode in my car previously noticed the diff "not a Honda fan tho".
My MPG pretty much stayed the same. 91 Accord Dx 13.5gal tank 5spd around 400-420miles per tank. Im pretty sure you can use the stock exhaust. I know before I put the header on it lined up with the stock exhaust system. Im running a OBX high flow cat and a Megan 2.5 inch exhaust.
Well if you want more power id go with a bigger exhaust. As far as the ebay pic, id prob not go with that seller. Only because this person has only sold around 12 items. Thats pretty much all you need to install the header. 3 gaskets and it should come with the bolts, mine did.
I bought both my exhaust and header from Nissangtrpower. This person has over 14,000 100% sales. May cost alittle more but, this person is a very good seller.
One question for ya. What year of Accord do you have and also is it a 5sp?

If your going to put a header on you car, another good part to buy for it is a fuel pressure regulator. I also have that on my car.
Another question. I think your from Cali right. If you buy a cheap header your gonna have problems with getting your car smog certified.
Another great and halfway cheap modd is that you take a F23 block and put a H23 head on it. Ive herd that combo puts out 170ish hp or so. Thats what I have read on Honda-tech before.

The smog passing is what I've been thinking about..kinda worried!
I'll look into what is and what isnt CARB certified.
The H23 is in the v6 models, correct?
Would the F23 head fit on the H23 block? How much would that be to do that to my car?

As far as the smog issues, if you still want a header you might have to end up buying a $300 DC header than.
An H23 comes out of preludes. The motor is a 4cly. You actually use a F23 block and a H23 head. I found some other honda tech people that did it. Heres the links.
Heres pirates link. One of the first on honda-tech.

This gives ya an idea at what you could do. Read on theres a ton of stuff to do. I thought there was less involved for the swap and as far as being smog approved. Im guessing no lol.
